Halloween!!!

So Halloween at this house really isn't much different than any other day because, really, what day goes by with the girls NOT dressing up in princess outfits!

But, we had a fun day because we got to be in the elementary school halloween parade. Which maybe was not the best idea, since Karlee got a little nervous at all the teachers in costume. I tried to explain that the teachers do not dress up like that everyday!

Anyways...Karlee was Cinderella and Shelby was Tinkerbell...definitely the cutest princesses' ever!!

Hunting

My dad and his boss came out from New Jersey to hunt Elk in Wyoming. The guys found a few animals, but Dad didn't get to shoot anything. Luckily his boss did. It was a pretty fun trip for both my Dad and my husband. Gene Paul doesn't get out too much these days to hunt, etc....so it was nice he had an excuse. It also meant I got to have Mom come out for a few days!

Yellowstone

We took a quick trip to Yellowstone on Saturday. We had been planning to go all summer and never quite made it. We had so much fun! We got to see buffalo, elk, deer, a coyote. We are such tourists though, because we see many of these every day where we live, but for some reason, when we get to Yellowstone we had to pull our camera out and stop with the rest of the people! The girls liked to see the geysers and pools...but didn't quite like the sulpher smell. Karlee kept asking "Who tooted?!"

Beautiful country and such a pretty "Fall" day.

I'm 4!!!!!

Karlee couldn't wait until she was 4. She thought today would never come. We had a little family party for her today and will have another party in the next few days with friends and family.

Karlee was so excited for her princess cake. She helped make it...mostly by licking the bowl!

She had to go play in another room while I frosted the cake and was pretty impressed by the finished cake. She didn't want to cut into it right away, but Shelby couldn't wait, so we lit the candles, sang "Happy Birthday" and blew out the candles.

When I was putting her to bed for the night, she asked if she would still be 4 tomorrow!

Go Rockies!!!

On Friday we got to go to a Rockies game to celebrate Uncle Ray's 50th birthday. We had such an awesome time. The Sanborn's did such an awesome job in planning the party. They had reserved a box for the game and that is definitely the way to watch a baseball game!

The girls were able to run around in the room...which was air conditioned!:)... and we were able to watch the game, without having to run around after them! Yahoo!!!! We had two rows in front of the box, so we were able to go outside to watch the game or hang out in the box.

We like to watch baseball games at home and are Yankees fans, but after this game Karlee and Shelby decided they like the Rockies a little better! (Sorry Grandpa!)

Yep, the gal smiling at the edge of the picture is me...with braces. :( Hopefully this fall they will be off.

Beautiful Gals....

My sister came to visit me for a few days this summer. It was so nice to have her here...I don't get to see her too often since she is on the other side of the country. Can't believe she is 17! She was born during my Senior year in High School...so you can guess how old I am! Yikes!!!!
I highlighted her hair and had a bit left so we decided to do Karlee's hair. We had a little time waiting to wash out so we had some fun taking pictures. Aunt Larlee loves to teach her new things!

Here we go...

So, I never thought I would actually do anything like this...being that I didn't think we really do anything that notable...but since we do live so far away from many family and friends, it will be a good way to keep in touch and let you in our crazy lives full of princesses! (Poor GP!...even our dogs are girls!)

Well...I will get some pictures up in the next day or so...but it is time for breakfast, and we all get a little cranky when our stomaches are empty!
